Seedlings for Christ

Thank you for your interest in coming on the Seedlings for Christ mission trip.

We have been taking teams over to Africa since 2004 and things have really developed over the last 5 years. The team consist of about 30 people who come from all walks of life and do all sorts of jobs. The team splits into smaller teams. There is painting, cleaning, building, labouring, working within Kotu townships, visiting very poor families on their compounds, travelling inland to Rural tribes and mud hut villages, distributing the aid we have collected as well as the food, tools and supplies we have brought locally. There are days off and you are not expected to work all the time and do the same thing everyday. Doing  a bit of everything is encouraged so that you get a better understanding of the culture you are in. It is a life changing trip. People don’t usually come back the same way they left.

 The costs are  approx  £400-£450 per person. This includes 2 weeks your flights & B & B Accomodation at Badala Park Hotel in Kotu, Gambia. You will also need to budget £120 pounds for transport to & from Gatwick, [for those of us in Devon, we hire a mini bus and go together to save money]  we travel in land to a Safari lodge far away from any tourism and deeper into Gambia. This is where you get to see the real Africa. We use this to visit rural tribes and villages, distributing the aid we collected back in UK and the food and supplies we buy locally.

For those of you who would like to come with us please print off the application and passport form and post back to us.  All information requested will be treated in confidence.

Please send a deposit of £150 with your application form. The deposit is Non-Refundable if tickets and seats have been booked except for extreme circumstances and when I can fill your place.  Please make all cheques payable to ‘’Seedlings for Christ Group deposit.’’

We would like all members of the group to be part of fundraising and would expect everyone to raise at least £100 towards the charity trip.  The money will go in as part of the general charity fund and be divided between a building project, food for the villages, food, tools, hospitals, building project,  church etc.
