We at Seedlings for Christ totally believe in the power of prayer. We have been witness to many many miracles, small and large of God answering us in amazing ways.
We cannot go forward in our work without first looking to Him for His Guidance
*As you know Gambia is a very poor country, many thousands living in horrific poverty and squalor. Please pray that God will continue to use us to bring hope to these peoples lives that we come into contact with.
*Please pray for the new school. That sponsors will be found for new children wanting to start. The school must take on more students for it to be self-sufficient so we are really relying on God to provide the finances up until that point. Please pray that the money will be there to enable the school to run.
*A new church has started meeting in the school building on Sunday mornings. We would love for the school to not just be a building, but to be something that serves the community as a whole. We have visions of it being used in the evenings for different groups/activities. Please pray that God's light and love will shine from this building and that His will will be done in respect of what activities take place there.
*Brother John is a man who gives so much of his time to helping other, he pastors a church bang in the middle of Kotu dump. He serves the poeple around him the best he can but often its a struggle for him to look after his own family. His family is currently without a home and sharing a compound with a couple of teachers. Please pray for Gods provision in a home for him and his family. We praise the Lord that John and his family now have a lovely home and are well settled. Thank you for your prayers
*The sponsorship program is still halted as we are having problems with communication with the relevant authorities. Please pray that we can open communication via email, phone etc so that we can move forward for the sake of the children who so desperatly need their education.Thank the Lord that the sponsorship programme has now been restarted at the new school and the children have now started lessons.
*Please pray for Jojo as she prepares for her 3 month stay in Gambia. Pray that the finances come in and that all goes well during her time there. God is so good and really blessed and was with Jojo whilst she was in Gambia. The 3 month trip was a great success and God brought in all the finances to support her.
*Please pray for the December and March trips. That God will bring to the teams those people he wants and that we will continue to see many miracles as He works in and through us. Praise the Lord that the December team had an amazing time and all worked well together with no problems arising. We saw, yet again, many miracles. Please continue to pray for the March team.
